Sports & Physical Development

We believe in fostering active lifestyles and physical wellbeing from an early age. Alongside weekly PE lessons in gymnastics, yoga, dance, and a variety of sports, we offer specialist classes that help pupils develop physical skills through sustained, focused training. 

By participating in a wide range of movement-based experiences, children build positive habits, enjoy staying active, and develop a strong foundation for lifelong health and wellbeing.

Sports activities include:

Football – Develops routine building, adaptability, goal-setting, leadership, and tolerance of failure through teamwork and strategic play.

Swimming – Beyond building water confidence, key survival skills, and swimming technique, sessions from Pre-Nursery onwards encourage discipline through repetition, self-competition, internal drive, early maturity, and time mastery.

Judo – A traditional martial art that builds physical strength, balance, and self-discipline. Through structured practice, pupils develop judgment, tactical thinking, strategic decision-making, emotional regulation under pressure, leadership, and responsibility.

Yoga – Enhances emotional intelligence, self-awareness, focus, mental recovery, stress mastery, intentional routine, and a purpose-driven mindset.

Performing Arts

Creative expression is a vital part of a well-rounded education, and our performing arts programme encourages pupils to explore their talents with confidence and joy. Beyond individual disciplines, our performing arts extracurricular programme fosters confidence, creativity, project management skills, emotional intelligence, and cultural literacy - equipping pupils with essential skills for life.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre combines acting, singing, and dancing, allowing children to develop public speaking, stress management, self-esteem, leadership, adaptability, improvisation skills, professionalism, and a growth mindset. Through engaging games and performances, pupils improve coordination, rhythm, and focus - supporting both cognitive development and self-confidence.

Ballet

Ballet, which is open to both boys and girls, helps pupils develop balance, flexibility,develop balance, flexibility, and core strength while enhancing discipline, delayed gratification, precision, performance readiness, a goal-oriented mindset, and time management through strict routine-building  - a major asset for future careers requiring structure and efficiency. Additionally, it fosters the ability to thrive in structured, goal-driven settings. Dance also strengthens the brain’s attention systems, which can positively impact cognitive performance.

Music School

Music is integral to our school culture. As part of the core curriculum, all children enjoy weekly music lessons from the earliest years, helping them develop transferable skills and an enduring appreciation for music.

For those wishing to go further, our extracurricular Music School offers specialist tuition in piano, violin, and music initiation, giving pupils the chance to build strong foundations in their chosen areas. Many take part in additional lessons each week to deepen their knowledge and technique.

Performance is also a key part of our musical culture, with pupils regularly showcasing their talents in events such as the Christmas Concert, school productions, Music School recitals, and graduation celebrations.

STEM & Cognitive Development

Our extracurricular activities in Coding, Robotics, and Chess are designed to develop essential cognitive and problem-solving skills while nurturing curiosity and independent thinking.

In Coding & Robotics, pupils explore STEAM concepts through engaging, hands-on challenges. Beginning with logic games and progressing to Python programming—a widely used language in leading technology careers—they learn to design creative projects and understand how robots interact with and respond to the world around them.

Chess sharpens strategic thinking, memory, and concentration. Pupils learn to anticipate, analyse, and consider different perspectives—skills that enhance academic performance and emotional intelligence.

Together, these activities strengthen logical reasoning, build confidence, and teach children to think critically—preparing them to tackle complex challenges with motivation and resilience.

Languages

In addition to learning English and Spanish as part of the curriculum, our immersive Mandarin extracurricular sessions introduce pupils to one of the world’s most spoken languages through interactive, play-based learning. Children begin with essential vocabulary, tones, and sentence structures using songs, games, and role-play to make language learning fun and memorable. As they progress, they start reading and writing characters and holding simple conversations.

Alongside language skills, pupils explore Chinese culture, celebrating traditional festivals, learning about customs, food, and calligraphy. These sessions build global awareness, confidence, communication skills, and cultural understanding, laying a strong foundation for future language learning and opening up opportunities for success in a globalised world.
