Creating Pathways to Outstanding Future Opportunities in Spain and Beyond

At King’s College School Chamartín, we lay the foundations for long-term success from the very start. By the end of Year 2, our pupils possess a well-rounded skill set, strong academic foundations, and the self-assurance and autonomy to take the next step in their education.

With preferential admission and seamless continuation of the British curriculum, most pupils move on to our sister schools - King’s College School Soto de Viñuelas and King’s College School La Moraleja. Both are among Madrid’s most prestigious institutions, renowned for academic excellence and inspiring alumni success. Others transition to leading Spanish or international schools, bringing with them strengths in bilingualism, mathematics, and adaptability that set them apart.

Whichever pathway they follow, our pupils are exceptionally well prepared to thrive in any educational environment.

Discover How We Ensure the Smoothest Transition to King’s College Schools

Every step is carefully planned to help pupils settle confidently into Year 3 at either King’s College School La Moraleja (ages 12 months -16 years) or Soto de Viñuelas (ages 4 months–18 years), where they benefit from academic continuity, personalised support, world-class facilities, and a culture of high achievement.

Our dedicated transition programme begins early, with regular campus visits, team-building activities, and shared events such as Sports Days and “Meet the Teacher” sessions. Pupils typically enjoy at least four visits to their future school, helping them feel excited and secure about the move.

Alongside these practical preparations, our structured curriculum fosters independence, critical thinking, and emotional resilience - ensuring pupils are ready for the next stage of their journey within the King’s College family.

Should families opt for a Spanish curriculum approach beyond their time with us, we offer a similar support programme for transition to other Inspired schools.

Parents are fully supported too, with opportunities to meet Heads of Primary during coffee mornings and the added benefit of no enrolment fees when transferring between King’s College schools or other Inspired Schools in Spain.
